CDOC World Team Drivers Roundup - Daytona 250

CDOC's World Team Drivers performed admirably at the mid-summer Brumos Porsche 250 at Daytona this past weekend, with Darren Law leading home the pack in 5th place. Burt Frisselle and Ricky Taylor took home 11th place, and Brian Frisselle and Mark Wilkins endured a troubled race to finish 18th, after starting from pole position.

CDOC's World Team Drivers did the Company proud Sunday at Mid-Ohio, as all the active Grand-Am team members finished in the top 10. Darren Law and David Donohue led the charge in 2nd, followed by Mark Wilkins and Brian Frisselle in 4th, and Burt Frisselle and Ricky Taylor in 7th.

David Donohue, teammate of CDOC World Team Driver Darren Law, waited until the final minutes of qualifying to shatter the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course track record in qualifying for the EMCO Gears Classic presented by KeyBank, Round 8 of the 2008 Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16 season. CDOC-supported racing teams scored four of the top ten at Lime Rock Monday, with BGB Motorsports finishing 4th and 6th, Motorsports Technology Group finishing 8th, and Turner Motorsport finishing in 9th. Craig Stanton and Jon Miller, winners of the season opener at Daytona in January, led the CDOC charge, finishing 4th in the GS class in the #83 BGB Motorsports Porsche 997.

CDOC World Team Drivers Mark Wilkins and Brian Frisselle sit in 10th position in the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series standings after five races this season, and head to Watkins Glen on June 6-7 for the legendary Watkins Glen 6 Hours. After a hectic weekend of racing that saw Porsche endurance racing specialist Darren Law compete in two different major series in two different states, the Phoenix, Arizona resident walked away with 5th and 6th place finishes. Law and teammate David Donohue finished the Rum Bum 250 at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca fifth, after Donohue put the #58 Brumos Porsche Riley Daytona Prototype on the pole for the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No 16 event.
