CDOC’s stable of World Team Drivers had a solid weekend in competition at the BOSCH Engineering 250 at Virginia International Raceway Sunday, with Mark Wilkins and Brian Frisselle leading the way with a 6th place finish in the #61 AIM Autosport/Exchange Traded Gold Ford Riley. The race got off to with an optimistic start as Brian started from a career-best matching second on the grid, and filed into third at the start as part of a lead pack that distanced itself from the rest of the field.

After running a strong pace into the middle stages of the event, Brian turned the car over to Wilkins, who himself kept the AIM Autosport Gold machine going at a quick clip. Unfortunately, contact with another car in tight racing circumstances forced Wilkins in to the pits for a penalty, setting the two back before they recovered to finish sixth.

Burt Frisselle, driving the #47 BSI/CDOC Ford Dallara with Gabriele Gardel, brought his car home in 8th place. Burt said, "We didn't have all the pace that we did in Mexico City, but to come out of this weekend with another solid finish from this brand-new car is really satisfying," said Burt. "A lot of guys put themselves in positions that got them in trouble, but our car doesn't have a scratch on it and we picked up some solid points. The Doran guys have been working so hard and to have two problem-free race weekends in a row, back to back in two different countries, says a lot about this program. Now we'll get some time to catch our breath a little bit and focus ahead to Laguna. I can't wait to run this car through the corkscrew and down the hill!"

Darren Law and David Donohue had a troubled race, finishing in 19th position in the Daytona Prototype class. After four rounds of the 2008 Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series, Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas lead the Daytona Prototype standings. Round five will be at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, CA on May 16-17. Television coverage will be tape delayed on Speed, on May 18 at 12:00pm ET.
