The CDOC Story

colin Colin Dougherty was born with racing in his blood.

As a young boy, Colin learned all he could from his father's West Chester, Pennsylvania-based speed shop, Dougherty Automotive Services. With a work history that includes a stint with Roger Penske and a 1972 Indy 500 win with Mark Donahue, Bill Dougherty built his professional reputation on a solid foundation of engineering and fabrication knowledge, a love of contemporary design enhancement, an eye for innovation and a healthy respect for the lineage of cars he works on.

From an early age, it was apparent that Colin had inherited his father's racing aptitudes. Armed with his own arsenal of automotive and engineering knowledge, Colin took to the track at age 21, first as a driver and then as an instructor, and began earning a name for himself in motorsport. That name was "Cdoc."

Volvo By opening the CDOC showroom/warehouse operation in 2002, Colin realized an opportunity to take his racing experience to a new level through sharing his knowledge to benefit others within the motorsport industry.

"We are providing the best products with the best service to mechanics, amateur and pro racers and shop owners throughout the world," Colin said. "We know how they feel as racers, so we understand them and are prepared to meet their changing needs."

In the years since, Colin's vision and leadership have turned CDOC into one of the largest master warehouse distributors of racing gear in the U.S. He also owns DAS Sport, a custom rollbar and cage manufacturer. Loyal CDOC customers throughout America and Europe rely on Colin's expertise to help them gain and sustain a competitive advantage on the track.

Colin lives in Charlottesville, Virginia with his wife, Chris, and baby daughter, Caroline.
